chopsuey and caviar

chopsuey and caviar - an unlikely pairing you say, I'd have to agree.

The chopsuey I allude to is not the kind you get in one's typical takeaway shop with it's misspelt menu boards and '80's lime red vinyl floor. It's the chopsuey you crave when you walk through the doors of that little wooden house, with the mismatched curtains and bright green walls, and see the steam rising uncontrollably from the solid steel pot. You know the kind, the one that has that secret ingredient that makes all of life's problems disappear..."made with love". Some say this chopsuey looks like brown slithery snakes but I say when it has 'that' ingredient it is sure to taste like caviar does to those with the'silver spoon' tastebuds.

I wonder what caviar tastes like? Some say like kina or sea eggs. If that's the case, I don't think I'm missing out on too much. Mind you, it's not so much about what it tastes like it's what it represents. The finer things in life. A cultured mind. Power and money.

But what good are these things if you can't handle life's problems like you can when you eat that chopsuey? What if you can combine the two and get the best of both worlds? Sounds like it could be a recipe for success.

And that's what I intend to do. To share with you those things that money can't buy as well as those things that enlighten the mind and challenge our thinking.

chopsuey and caviar anyone?
